The enemy with his deception isn’t slick
To our faces he’s all good and friendly
But really, of kindness he is empty
Behind our backs he’s killing us with food
What we eat it’s altering our moods
He’s keeping drugs and alcohol alive
In our communities, so we won’t survive
He’s locking us up without a cause
His court isn’t for us, neither are his laws
White man kill a black? A round of applause
Black man kill a white? “He’s insane!”
White man shoot up a school?
“He’s just a little crazy in the brain.”
See how quick was the changing of the rules?
It’s injustice and inequality, this double standard
See how quickly the media gossips and slander?
Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves? “Oh, he’s a hero!”
Booker T. teaching our people? “He’s nothing but a zero.”

A people can’t be free without land, do you agree?

Blacks were doing for self, and a nation was blooming
They couldn’t have that, so they bombed everything
They realized that we were becoming queens and kings
So, they sicced dogs on us, sprayed us with hoses
“Martin King rising up? He has to be disposed of!”
They stole our land, the key to survival and success
So we ran far away from the land in our distress
And we didn’t teach our children about the struggle
Now they don’t know their history, don’t know their in trouble
Because this enemy is two-faced, an arch deceiver
It’s just sad how we can be so naive
We’re hating ourselves, when we have an open enemy
Stop whining and begging, he has little empathy!
Come to your own, and do for self
Come on mighty black nation! Know thyself!
